Seattle — Beautiful, More than a Tech Hub

Seattle can be a city I potentially want to live in other than New York.

The fact that Seattle has over 200 days per year of grey skies and scattered showers overshadows its beautiful sunny days. Me and my friend Yi Zhang spent three days from June 2nd to June 4th in Seattle, before our trip to Hawaii.

I decide to write it as my first Medium blog. Hope I have more coming..

A lot of Sunshine! Great enjoyment for someone stuck in COVID quarantine for over a year..

Tech Hub by Union Lake

In recent years, technology companies like Amazon, Zillow, Google etc have built amazing office centers in downtown.

Keep walking down close to the coast, we were able to see Union Lake, which has a fantastic sunset view.

University of Washington & College Village

What surprised me is how beautiful the campus is. Without the famous cherry blossom, it is still the most beautiful university campus I have ever been.

Trip Highlight: Electronic Scooter and Bicycle

This could be the most exciting part! After a city walk in Seattle downtown, Yi and I tried to find a drivable scooter, but many of them were either nonfunctional or occupied, so it really took us around an hour to find one. It was not hard to learn, but difficult to control since it can get fast.

Bicycle is also amazing. We drove them over a long steep uphill road to Kerry Park without much effort.

Kerry Park, a small viewpoint overlooking Seattle downtown, marks a remarkable ending to our Seattle Trip!

Written after quitting job last month.
